The Pet Shop Boys' ambitious score for a ballet adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's The Most incredible Thing will premiere in London next spring.
It's the first full-length dance production Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have scored. The duo collaborated with Sadler's Wells choreographer and director Javier De Frutos and Royal Ballet principal dancer Ivan Putrov on the piece.
According to a statement from the world famous ballet company, the score will be performed by 26-piece orchestra.
Announcing the news of the ballet project last year, Tennant said, "It's like a Tchaikovsky ballet in that it's based on a story by Hans Christian Andersen."
