The legacy of late Beatles legend John Lennon is set to live on for decades to come - three time capsules containing his music will be buried to mark what would have been his 70th birthday.
Three capsules will be filled with Lennon's music from the post-Beatles era and stored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio during a ceremony on 9 October.
Devotees have been given until 15 September to send in birthday wishes, music and artwork for inclusion in the capsules, which will be reopened in 30 years' time on the centenary of the icon's birth.
The project has been given the seal of approval from Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, who is "delighted" to support the idea. Lennon was shot dead outside his New York apartment in December 1980.
