May 25th sees the release of Dreams-Come-True-Girl, the first single and opening track from Cass McCombs’ sublime new album.
Now something of an auteur, the fourth instalment in Cass McCombs’ life and art is Catacombs (June 1st), and it is a thing of rare imagination from an artist whose wisdom and mischief will appeal as much to those in the stately manors as his more familiar lost souls on skid row.
A beautiful dreamlike song, with a skiffle beat and haunting vocals, Dreams-Come-True-Girl also features the seductive voice of Hollywood legend Karen Black.
