Kicking off 2011 with a bang and currently on course for another No. 1 smash hit with his second single ‘Grenade’, singer songwriter sensation Bruno Mars has announced that he will be returning to the UK on 24 January for an intimate and what’s sure to be an unforgettable one off album launch show at Café De Paris in London.
Following this special show, he will return in March with his first UK headline tour. The ‘Doo Wops and Hooligans Tour 2011’ will be hitting our shores on 10 March in Manchester followed by shows in Glasgow and Birmingham.
Bruno Mars is taking the world by storm, his second single ‘Grenade’ which was released on Sunday is currently top of the UK midweek chart and flew straight to No.1 in the iTunes charts, whilst in the US the single shot straight to Number 1 on the Billboard and iTunes charts.
It has been a whirlwind of success for Bruno since he released his debut single ‘Just The Way You Are’ which stormed to Number 1 in the UK and has since sold over 765,000 copies. In 2010 he headlined a sold out London show and supported friend and singer Travie McCoy on a string of UK and European dates as well as achieving his first No. 1 hit with B.o.B.
His hugely anticipated debut album, ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ will be released in the UK on 17 January. Originally set for release on 24 January, the album will now be made available a week earlier due to overwhelming pre-order figures and incredible demand. Appearing in every ‘Albums for 2011’ list and ‘Ones to Watch’, Bruno Mars is set to make 2011 his year.
