We can't help but feel a little upset over Cowell's decision to leave American Idol, although the X Factor is waaay better, there's no one as honestly blunt and terrifying as the man himself.
However, there are loads of stars out there who think they are perfect for the open position as Idol Judge, as huge names are reportedly falling over themselves to land the role. Simon has said that his phone 'hasn't stopped ringing."
Stars such as Elton John, Jay Z and Kelly Rowland have allegedly been short-listed as possible replacements (although we think that Simon will NEVER be replaced -FF) but it is up to Simon Fuller, founder of the Idol franchise, to choose who wins the slot.
