Ashes To Ashes, the smash hit BBC1 series is back on our screens in late March 2010 with the OST to follow on April 12.
After the huge success of ‘Life On Mars’ and the first two ‘Ashes To Ashes’ soundtracks, the story continues in 1983, and with it comes a brand new collection of 80s music from the series. As before, the songs are threaded through the drama, and play a big part in the show.
Likewise, as with the previous soundtracks from the series, select dialogue snippets from the show are used in between tracks, and include some of the theme music for maximum impact. The tracks themselves are key reminders of that decade with top hits from David Bowie, The Jam and the era-defining Buggles.
The TV show starts on Fri 2nd April at 9pm, then every Friday for 8 weeks. This is the final series, and promises to tie up loose ends from both ‘Ashes’ series’ as well as ‘Life On Mars’. This BBC1 smash will go out with a bang, and the 7 million + viewers will no doubt be gripped !
