Selena Gomez is "really nervous" about her 'Stars Dance' world tour.
The actress-and-singer is feeling the pressure as she prepares to kick off the global run of shows tonight (14.08.13) in Vancouver, Canada, but insists the feeling of panic helps drive her to do well.
She said: "I definitely have anxiety. I'm very nervous, but in the best possible way.
"I love being nervous. The adrenaline takes over and it just makes me want to give my all, so I'm really nervous."
The 'Come and Get It' hitmaker found success with her previous project Selena Gomez & the Scene, but she claimed she still feels she has "a lot to prove" as she gears up for her first solo world tour.
She told MTV News: "This is a lot for me. I've got a lot to prove. I've got a lot to live up to, so I'm just going to try to focus on making it the best it can be.
"I'll just wish for the best from that point on. Hopefully, people will enjoy it."
And the star recently explained her aim for the live show is to make the crowd "non-stop dance" just like she did in as a child watching Britney Spears.
She previously said: "I want people to feel it when they hear the beat on the song, when they see a dance move, that it encourages them to keep going.
"I want them to non-stop dance, because that's what I grew up watching in the nosebleeds, going to every Britney show, just still wanting to this day to learn her dance moves because they are so epic, so that's what I'm trying to do: make it fun, original and let them have a great time."
