Mumford & Sons love Liam Gallagher despite him insulting the band.
Frontman Marcus Mumford thinks the Beady Eye singer is "always really funny", and was glad to be recognised by the legendary musician even though he slammed the group for being boring.
Liam famously said the band - which also includes Ted Dwayne, Winston Marshall and Ben Lovett - "look like f**king Amish people, as rock and roll as a blue rinse."
Marcus, 26, was amused, however, and told Q magazine: "I f**king love him. The fact that we're on his radar is awesome."
Mumford & Sons have enjoyed huge success, with their second album Babel topping the charts in the UK and US and becoming the fastest selling album of 2012, so Marcus doesn't understand why they polarise people's opinions and tries to ignore their haters.
He said: "We've never wanted everyone to like us. But we've never been exclusive and we've never shut the door on people. But yeah, I don't want to hear it."
The folk group particularly resent being called the poshest band in music and think the claim is unfounded.
Banjo player Winston said: "Class is a big issue here. And some people get picked on more than others. I think we probably do.
"I mean, it doesn't help that we wear waistcoats and tweed the whole time. But there is a reverse snobbishness in England towards that sort of stuff. And I think that's one of the reasons we really enjoy America, 'cos we're classless."
