Justin Bieber will "speak for himself" on his new album.
The 19-year-old singer's fourth record will be "a little bit different" from his previous releases and he has been thinking outside the box to make sure the new tracks will still connect to his fans.
The star's manager Scooter Braun told MTV News: "For this project, we want to do things a little bit differently.
"And there are more songs than 10 or 12, so if you have more music you gotta think out of the box, and [think] 'How do I get this out there in a unique way where it gets directly to my fans and I can express myself through music directly to them?'
"You know, he wants to show growth, but he wants to speak for himself."
'Beauty and a Beat' star Justin is experimenting with his creative talents and his manager is keen to let him explore this so he is able to develop a unique style.
He added: "These are very creative people and you can't put them in a box and there's nothing against the normal way of doing things. We will do that again."
Justin - who split from girlfriend Selena Gomez in November 2012 after two years together - is rumoured to be penning a number of tracks about his former flame for his new album.
