Marvin Humes wants to be like Calvin Harris.
The 28-year-old singer - whose boyband JLS are splitting after the conclusion of their 'Goodbye' tour at the end of this year - is planning a dance album next year and wants to emulate the success of Scottish DJ Calvin, one of the biggest names in electronic music, who earned £30 million last year.
He told the Sun newspaper: "I'm a hundred per cent aiming to be like Calvin. After JLS end next year I want to stay in music but not go down the conventional solo route. I'll be behind the scenes where you DJ, produce and write on your own label and bring people in to feature on material."
Marvin's bandmate, Oritse Williams, is also planning on staying in the music industry and is working on setting up his own artist management company when the band go their separate ways.
Meanwhile their bandmates Jonathan J.B. Gill and Aston Merrygold are hoping to head in different directions.
Aston - who was a judge on talent show 'Got To Dance' - previously admitted he has set his sights on becoming an actor.
J.B. is keen to veer away from his showbiz lifestyle and plans to buy a deer farm on the Scottish Borders.
