Ellie Goulding is "very creative and poetic" in the studio.
Producer DJ Fresh - who is responsible for hits including Rita Ora's 'Hot Right Now' - worked with the British singer on her second album, 'Halcyon', and believes she is destined for more chart domination after scoring her first ever UK Number One single with 'Burn' yesterday (18.08.13).
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Ellie is lovely, really talented. She's a great songwriter, and that's something I love doing, writing songs.
"I'm new to that as I wasn't really doing it with drum 'n' bass before so in the studio it's very creative and poetic."
Ellie's new dancefloor anthem knocked Miley Cyrus' 'We Can't Stop' off the top spot to number three this weekend, with Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' staying at number two.
The 26-year-old singer was presented with her Official Number One Award for 'Burn' on Sunday afternoon (18.08.13) backstage at V Festival in Chelmsford by Rita Ora.
Rita said: "I'm here to do something very special for somebody really, really pretty and cute. I have to present this amazing Number One Award to somebody who deserves it more than anybody in the world, ladies and gentleman, Miss Ellie Goulding!"
A visibly shocked Ellie announced: "Oh crap. I wanna make it a serious speech, because this is serious for me. Thank you to all the people that supported me for literally four years now.
"It's my first ever UK Number One which is crazy, and thank you so much to Radio 1 who played my song for the first time ever, Huw Stevens back in the day, I wanna say thank you for all your support because you've been there always."
