Cheryl Cole has given up on breaking America.
The former Girls Aloud singer has reportedly split from her US management team - headed up by will.i.am - who she had worked with on launching her solo career in America.
Cheryl's initial attempt to crack the tricky US market included her appearing on the judging panel of 'The X Factor', ensuring massive exposure, but she was sacked after just four days on the panel.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It's been two years since she was sacked and she no longer has plans or a desire to make it over there. She doesn't have a US record deal and, despite the rumours, is not going to be moving over there."
In the UK, Cheryl has released three solo albums '3 Words', 'Messy Little Raindrops', and 'A Million Lights' all of which charted in the top five.
While she may have given up on the US, Cheryl remains close friends with will.i.am and is planning to continue producing music with the Black Eyed Peas star.
The source added: "They remain good friends and were out for dinner in London last week."
