Despite rumours being banded around by fans of One Direction, Zayn Malik will not be rejoining the group after quitting back in March.
Over the weekend, signs pointed at a comeback for Zayn, with indicators in the form of Zayn's official bio being put back onto the official One Direction website and his tweet about his departure being deleted from the social network site.
Speculation soon turned viral, and so a spokesperson for the band's record label Columbia came forward to set the record straight.
Speaking via email to USA Today, Mike Navarra said: "I can confirm that Zayn is not returning to the band."
Meanwhile, a recent interview saw remaining members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson admit they were left angry by Zayn's decision to quit.
Zayn had explained that the group didn't "feel real" to him anymore - something that Liam thinks was obvious to everybody.
Chatting to James Corden, he said: "At first we were a little bit angry, we were surprised. I think we all knew the general vibe that Zayn was feeling. You could sort of tell. And from the outside people could tell.
"There's certain parts of this job Zayn loved and there's certain parts that he didn't. And if you don't like your job you've gotta follow your heart sometimes and go where you need to go. we were angry at first and then it was just more disappointed. We wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to. There's no hard feelings."
