Young Fathers have taken home the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Prize.
The hip-hop group's debut album 'Dead' was declared this year's best British or Irish record at a ceremony held at The Roundhouse in London on Wednesday, October 29.
After collecting their trophy and £20,000 cheque from Nick Grimshaw, the band said: "Thank you, thank you. We love you all!"
Just before the ceremony, the group insisted that they didn't care about taking home the prestigious award and told BANG Showbiz: "It doesn't matter to us we're just concentrating on our performance."
They also said that if they were to win, it wouldn't change them: "You don't spend half your life recording music and writing songs and then win an award and suddenly stop. It's just part and parcel of the industry. It's just what happens."
Now the trio have plans to go "over to Germany to record a new album."
Speaking of their victory, Simon Frith, Chair of Judges said: "Young Fathers have a unique take on urban British music, brimming with ideas - forceful, unexpected and moving."
The awards show is to be broadcast in full on Channel 4 this Friday, October 31 at 11.40pm.
