Union J are to release their debut single this summer, with their first release hitting shelves on June 2nd in the form of first single ‘Carry You’.
The boy band came to prominence on The X Factor last year and was promptly snapped up by Simon Cowell’s label Syco after their exit on the show.
The song has been written and produced by Steve Mac, who’s previously worked with former X Factor contestants Leona Lewis and One Direction, and will see the quartet try and bring their formidable online fanbase into the charts. With a book deal already in the bag, 2013 looks like it could be a good year for Jaymi, Josh, George and JJ.
They said “We’ve been through a lot in the short time we’ve been together and this song sums up how important it was for us to be there for each other.
“If you’d have told us at the beginning of the X Factor auditions that we’d have a record deal and would be releasing a single we wouldn’t have believed you. We’re so excited to release Carry You and hope everyone likes it as much as we do. Everyone can relate to the track.”
Details for the upcoming first album are limited, but we do know it will be coming in 2013.
