Tom Odell was playing a gig in Australia, when a gigantic spider crawled onto his piano.
The 'Another Love' singer was performing at the Falls Music Festival in December in Tasmania when the huge creepy crawly made its way across his piano while he was playing.
Speaking to presenter Nick Grimshaw at 'The BRITs Are Coming' broadcast on ITV on Thursday night (09.01.14), he said: "I've just got back from Australia. I went to sit at my piano at this festival and a spider that was the size of my hand started crawling across the keys.
"I was like, 'What the hell', I've never freaked out like that, and this guy came up and just picked it up and said, 'It's fine'."
The 23-year-old singer said the past 12 months had been a whirlwind since he won the BRITs Critics' Choice Award and praised this year's champion, Sam Smith, but joked he needs to be careful of spiders when playing oversees.
Tom said: "He's incredible, I'm a big fan, he's going to have a huge year and I think it's brilliant. As long as he watches out for spiders."
The blonde star, who shot to fame with his debut album 'Long Way Down' is also nominated for two BRIT awards this year for 'British Male Solo Artist' and 'British Breakthrough Act'.
The BRITs with Mastercard will be held at London's O2 Arena on February 19.
