Sir Elton John, undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world, has announced that a very special guest will join him for his forthcoming live show in Falkirk, Scotland this summer.
Scottish teenager Tallia Storm is set to open the show at The Falkirk Stadium on Sunday 10th June, Elton’s only Scottish show of 2012.
Tallia Storm’s addition to the bill is testament to her determination. This Christmas whilst abroad on holiday, Tallia used her instinct to her advantage when she encountered David Furnish, and asked him to pass on a letter and CD to Elton John.
The following day Elton contacted her and told her that she has one of the most exciting vocal signatures he had heard in years, and that he absolutely loved her material and her vibe. This lead to her being invited to join Elton in Falkirk. She accepted of course!
"It was one of the most surreal experiences in my life when Sir Elton called my mobile. I really didn’t know what to say at first but he was so excited about my music and said he thought my signature was incredible.
"He was just so nice, warm and totally down to earth. We spoke a few times and then he called my mum that night to explain what he had in mind.
"I don’t actually think I will take it all in until I am standing on his stage at Falkirk - someone will have to pinch me for sure.
2So I'm working really hard and rehearsing a lot to give it my all. That's the least I can do for being giving the opportunity of a lifetime from one my musical heroes!"
As one of the greatest and most successful live artists, Elton’s spectacular stage shows continue to leave the competition standing! His shows comprise over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue, including such classics as ‘Bennie and the Jets, ‘Crocodile Rock’ and ‘Your Song’.
The fully reserved seated concert will give thousands of fans the opportunity to dance and sing along to his much-loved songs.
