Reni can't confirm if The Stone Roses are working on a new album because he'll "get his a**e kicked".
The 'I Wanna Be Adored' drummer admitted he has been in the studio, but isn't allowed to discuss whether or not he is working on a follow-up 1994's 'Second Coming'.
The 51-year-old star told NME magazine: "I'm recording. I can't tell you anything because I'll get my a**e kicked."
Fans of the band - which also includes frontman Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire and bassist Mani - headed down to Paul Epworth's Church Studios in Crouch End, north London yesterday (23.04.16) on hearing they were rumoured to be recording there.
And one of them claims to have been told by Mani and John that they were simply "rehearsing for gigs", despite the studio being built purposefully as a recording studio than place to rehearse.
However, previous reports suggest they are most definitely making an album.
A source has said: "Ian Brown and the lads have been busy getting their next album ready. It will be album number three. It's a long time coming but they feel the time is right now. They've been back in the studio. Everyone is very excited about it."
The Stone Roses - who split in 1996 and reunited in 2012 - are currently practicing hard for their forthcoming tour dates this summer, including five hometown shows at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and a festival exclusive at T In The Park in June.
