Slash is reportedly working on new Guns 'N Roses music without Axl Rose.
The 'Paradise City' hitmakers' former publicist, Arlett Vereecke, has revealed the recently-reformed group are currently "in the studio" ahead of their massive comeback at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, but the frontman hasn't been to the recording sessions yet.
She told Classic Rock magazine: "I know they're doing some recording. They're definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn't been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it's not for anyone else."
And that's not all, Alan Niven - the first GNR manager who served from 1986 to 1991 - says bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Izzy Stradlin are also believed to have worked on a number of tracks together.
Alan said: "Duff and Izzy were in the studio before Christmas doing stuff. At a casual glance I think they've got at least a couple of tracks down."
The original line-up currently consists of frontman Axl, Slash and Duff, but it's rumoured Izzy will also be involved.
The legendary rock group are gearing up for their Coachella warm up dates in Las Vegas and Mexico in April.
It is the first time the classic line-up of the group will have been together on stage since 1993.
It is still not yet known who will take on drumming duties with former percussionist Steven Adler - who played on debut LP 'Appetite For Destruction' - and 'Use Your Illusion' era musician Matt Sorum both expressing an interest in participating in the reunion and being prepared to share duties.
