Guns N' Roses have confirmed Slash and Duff McKagan will rejoin the band for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Axl Rose - the founding member of the band - has announced he will step out on stage with his original bandmates - who haven't played together in Guns N' Roses since 1993 - at the annual music extravaganza in Indio, California, in April.
A statement, released last night (05.01.16), read: "Upholding a three-decade tradition of breaking ground, creating trends, and forever changing the face of rock 'n' roll, Guns N' Roses announce the most significant and anxiously awaited musical event of this century. Founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan will regroup to headline the Coachella Music & Arts Festival."
Axl announced Guns N' Roses had taken one of the headline slots at the event on Tuesday when he wrote on Twitter: "Ok, ok... It's "confirmed! Guns N' Roses is Headlining Coachella 2016!! See Everyone There!! (sic)."
Other names among the line-up for 2016 festival include DJ Calvin Harris, who will headline the closing night.
Headlining the opening night will be LCD Soundsystem, which will see the first time the band have performed since retiring in 2011.
