Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon thinks that The Voice UK has found a great signing in Boy George, with the pop legend soon to debut on the BBC alongside Paloma Faith in the pair's first and only series with the broadcaster.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Le Bon said: "George is an amazing personality - he is so sharp and funny. I can see why they would want him.

"I know he's Culture Club but he's also a solo artist and solo artists don't have to explain it to the rest of the band, or tell them not to do it!"

Despite that, he has no television aspirations himself, still happy in his band.

"I think there's something great about being in a band still and I don't want to be a TV personality and certainly not on a musical game show or reality show.

"I'd hate it if my bandmates were on one of those shows and I'm sure they would feel the same way."

Duran Duran released their latest studio album 'Paper Gods' at the back end of last year, which placed number three in our top 10 albums of 2015.
