Selena Gomez has stated she won't let anybody turn her against her former flame Justin Bieber, despite calling time on their relationship for good in 2013.
Rumoured to have been devastated when the two split, Gomez refuses to say a bad word about the now 21-year-old Bieber.
Speaking to German magazine TV Movie, she explained: "We spur each other on. People try to turn us against each other, but that will never work. We'll always support one another."
Since that breakup, Selena has been linked to 25-year-old DJ Zedd, with Diplo starting a rumour that the relationship had been a publicity stunt, something Selena refuted and claimed she definitely had a "thing" with him.
Gomez has also been linked to Cody Simpson, 18, but he said that the two were simply close friends until it got "weird".
Whatever the case may be, it's going to be a while before she settles down: "I can promise you, marriage won't be happening in the near future! I get pretty nervous and start asking myself if the person only likes me because I'm famous."
Selena will now be focusing on her career in the coming months, with films The Big Short and In Dubious Battle scheduled for a 2016 release.
"I've never accepted a rejection or a 'no' as the final answer. In my profession, you get walked all over if you're not stubborn to a certain degree. Luckily, my life was never perfect, so I developed a thick skin at a young age."
