The Saturdays have announced they're currently working on an album full of new songs.

The girl group - comprised of Una Foden, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White - released their 'Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits' album this week and head out on their 'Greatest Hits Live!' tour in September.

Speculation has been rife the tour could be the band's farewell but Una has quashed the rumours by revealing they are releasing a new studio LP after the tour.

When quizzed by 'This Morning' host Ruth Langsford about the split rumours, Molly declared: "Afraid not guys, we're still plugging at it we are!"

Following which Una revealed: "We're actually doing another album - we've got another coming out after the 'Greatest Hits', so it's definitely not the last, we've got plenty more to come."

The girls didn't let any other details slip on the programme - which Ruth co-hosts with her husband Eamonn Holmes - but did reveal they are bemused by the modern trend of fans recording concerts on their smartphones.

The five-piece can't wait to get on stage and perform their biggest tracks but hope they aren't welcomed by a sea of phone flashes.

Speaking about the phenomenon, Frankie said: "I wonder, 'Are you actually watching the show?' It feels really strange to perform to that now."

Frankie's bandmate Una claims one of the worst things about fans filming the girls' performances is that if they make any mistakes during their shows the errors often end up on the internet for the world to see.

Una admitted: "There is always a camera around on mobile phones and everything. You look down and there's literally everyone's phones in the air - so if you make a mistake, someone's got it!"
