Roger Taylor's latest solo album has been a "labour of love".
The legendary Queen drummer is releasing his first solo album in 15 years, 'Fun On Earth', on November 11 and has been crafting the tracks for it for a long time at his home studio.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It's been a long time since my last album and it's taken me a long time to make it. It's been labour of love over four or five years really. It's an accumulation of material that I've had that I've wanted to get off my chest.
"I called it that because my first [solo] album [in 1981] was called 'Fun in Space' and I wanted to bring things back down here.
"I've got a really great studio here at home, so it's been really nice for me to go into my studio for a bit and work on my thing in between the rest of the projects Queen tend to be doing."
Roger has been involved in music for over 30 years in Queen, The Cross, Smile and various other projects, but has no plans to slow down or stop creating new songs.
He added: "Well, it's what we do. If you're a musician you don't stop being a musician, like if you're a painter you don't stop painting. There's an incredible sense of satisfaction in creating new songs and actually singing and playing on them."
Roger is also bringing the official Queen tribute act, The Queen Extravaganza, to the UK for the first time this October.
