Rita Ora is to sing for Pope Francis it's been revealed, at a Vatican event honouring the life of Mother Teresa.
Ora is one of the select performers chosen to appear at the one-time concert being held at St Peter's Basilca in Rome on September 3 - the day before Mother Teresa will officially be declared a saint.
She will sing the hymn 'What Child Is This?' at the event, with Albanian singers Ermonela Jaho, Inva Mula and Saimur Pirgu all also performing amongst others.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 30, Ora said: "I looked at the guest list and I saw P.O.P.E… Pope?! It's a real honour and I don't know if anyone's done the whole Vatican venue thing before, it's a bit interesting that the Vatican's someone's venue but it's going to be fantastic."
Mother Teresa is becoming a saint following her work helping the poor in the Indian city of Calcutta. She was born in Skopje, Macedonia to an Albanian family in 1910 and died aged 87 on September 5, 1997.
