British Funnyman Russell Brand is to interview former The Beatles legend Ringo Starr for a special live radio show.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star will ask the drummer a number of questions for the Town Hall With Ringo Starr show, to be aired live from Los Angeles on 30 January (12) for Sirius XM.

Brand, who is a "massive fan" of the veteran musician, says, "Now we can unravel the enigma of Ringo."

The show, on which Starr will perform a number of songs, airs a day before he releases his 17th studio album, Ringo 2012.

Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay and Tom Petty have all previously had their own 'Town Hall' specials.

Meanwhile Starr's fellow ex Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has revealed he is in talks to stage a top secret concert at the London Olympics this summer (12).

The Beatles legend will meet with event officials on Friday (20Jan12) to discuss a possible appearance at an event linked to the Games.

He says, "There is something they want me to do. I'm not sure what they want me to do, I think they'll tend to dictate it rather than me, (but) I might be doing something in the Olympics."

And the rocker tells Britain's The Sun newspaper he would also consider a performance to mark Queen Elizabeth II's upcoming Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Yesterday singer, who performed at the Buckingham Palace party for the Golden Jubilee in 2002, adds, "I'm a big fan of the Queen... If I get asked I could easily do it."
