Rae Morris is hoping the future will bring a collaboration with Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin.
Recently revealing he's a fan of the young singer, Rae's admitted she was shocked to find out what the musician had said about her and now wants to work with him going forward.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Rae explained: "I was over the moon to hear he likes my music as I am a massive Coldplay fan.
"I'd never turn down that opportunity [to collaborate with him] -- he is one of the most amazing songwriters there is."
However though she's yet to work with Chris, she is gearing up for the release of her debut album 'Unguarded' at the end of the month, which she's excited for people to hear as she thinks it shows how she's changed since she first started writing tracks four years back.
"The album is the story of my growing up and where I've come from. I am excited for people to know about me.
"I've always been a serial diary keeper and I feel like the songs are parts of that. They're a collection of songs that together make it a coming-of-age album."
Nevertheless, the talent admits she feels annoyed that she didn't write diaries from an earlier age as they could have also influenced and inspired the new record.
"As much as there were tough times, there were also amazing moments. I wish I had started writing a journal when I was even younger as I love the idea of documenting things."
