Princess Superstar is playing her first UK show in over a decade this Saturday (11.04.24).
The 53-year-old electronic music star - who has seen her 2007 hit single 'Perfect (Exceeder)' re-enter charts all over the world after being featured in 'Saltburn' - will perform at False Idols at Drumsheds in London, taking to the main stage.
The bill also includes Sophie Ellis-Bextor - who has seen her 2001 single 'Murder On The Dancefloor' enjoy a resurgence after also featuring in Emerald Fennell’s black comedy - bimini, Derrick Carter, Horsegirl, Sonique and a DJ set from Self Esteem.
Talking about her UK return, for which tickets are still available, Princess Superstar said: "I am beyond ecstatic to be back in London after 10 years away. The UK has always had my heart - and I can’t wait to rock on Saturday at Drumsheds!"
The use of 'Perfect (Exceeder)', Princess Superstar's collaboration with Dutch DJ Mason, in the decadent ‘Saltburn’ party scene has seen the song achieve over 100 million streams, rocket back up the UK singles chart, reach number 16 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 and was given a further fresh burst of life with remixes from superstar DJs David Guetta, Jax Jones and Oliver Heldens. It has also become the soundtrack to countless TikTok posts.
Princess Superstar has released seven studio albums and has worked with an array of other acts including The Prodigy, Moby, Grandmaster Flash, Amy Schumer and Margaret Cho and she acted as a mentor to a pre-fame Lana Del Rey.

In a previous interview with BANG Showbiz, she said: "It’s a great film, it’s a great song, and then you’ve got social media. We’re in an era of social media, so it’s pretty amazing that there was a perfect storm that happened for this song to come alive again – it’s just bananas.
“I’ve been enjoying every minute of it. It’s like watching a movie, sometimes I’m like, ‘Is this happening to me?’”
It won't be be another decade or more before Princess Superstar is back in the UK, she will play Warwick Castle on July 7 as special guest to Mika before returning in August for Brighton Pride’s FABULOSO event.
