The 'Like A Virgin' hitmaker's manager, Guy Oseary, has recalled having a phone call with the late 'I Wanna Be Your Love' star - who suddenly passed away yesterday (21.04.16) at his Paisley Park estate - during which he pitched the idea of the two music legends going on the road together.

But while Madonna thought it was an amazing idea, Prince feared it was "too big", though Guy never gave up hope of making it happen.

Guy recalled on Instagram: "I met Prince when I was 12 years old. I asked for his autograph. Many many years later I connected back with Prince.. And we have remained friends.. I called him a few years back with the idea of Madonna and Prince going on tour together. I pitched it to Madonna and within a second she said 'I like it, we can call it the Royalty Tour... The Queen and The Prince'. I love the way she thinks... When I told Prince the idea he said: 'the world isn't ready for this, it's too big'. I always felt like one day I would pull it off.(sic)"

Madonna was "devastated" to hear the 'Purple Rain' singer - who she duetted with on her song 'Love Song' - had passed away and hailed him a "true visionary".

The Queen of Pop shared a photo of her and Prince in matching yellow outfits on her Instagram yesterday (21.04.16) and captioned the pic: "He Changed The World!! A True Visionary. What a loss. I'm Devastated. This is Not A Love Song. (sic)"
