Pixie Lott has said she wanted to make her music video for 'Break Up Song' more "real", and so cast her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire.
The singer and her beau star in the video for the single because Pixie wanted a sense of authenticity to shine through, and it made it "less awkward" than it would have been acting out the clip with a stranger.
Speaking on Lorraine, Pixie explained: "I just thought it's one of my favourite songs on the album and I love the lyrics of it.
"I wanted to do a video where you could really see the emotion and where people could really relate to the song and I thought the only way I could get it most real was if I did it with my boyfriend.
"It's a bit awkward when you have to do it with a model or actor and you have to get all close... and you want to laugh!"
She did however admit that her emotions got the better of her on the set when she thought of breaking up with Oliver for real.
"He's a model but he does acting as well so it made it really easy and we just really got into the character and one of the takes we did I burst my eyes out crying.
"I was so sad because I really got into the character and I got into the zone and I thought it was real and I got really sad."
The two have been dating for over four years, but Oliver said there's no plans for marriage just yet.
Speaking to Attitude Magazine he said: "We're both still young, she's 23, I'm 26.
"I think a lot of people rush in crazy to stuff, which is fine, you can do, if that suits you. But why change it, if we're happy at the moment?"
