Pharrell Williams, Karen O and U2 were all performers at last night's Oscars.

'Happy' singer Pharrell brought the house down with his Oscar-nominated song from 'Despicable Me 2'.

He was surrounded by dozens of dancers during the 1950s-inspired performance and had the star-studded crowd up on their feet, before jumping off stage to dance with front-row actresses Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong'o and Meryl Streep.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O was accompanied by Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig on guitar for their performance of her Oscar-nominated track 'The Moon Song' from 'Her'.

She wore a dark red gown at the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

U2 also took to the stage to perform their track 'Ordinary Love' from the film 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' after being introduced by '12 Years a Slave' producer, Brad Pitt.

The Irish quartet gave an emotional performance and Pink also impressed on the night singing 'Over the Rainbow', while Judy Garland's children paid homage to 'The Wizard of Oz'.

The overall winner of this year's Oscar for Best Original Song was 'Let It Go' from Disney's 'Frozen', which was performed on the night by Idina Menzel.
