Paul Weller

Paul Weller will be playing five shows this summer as part of Forest Live.

The 55-year-old singer will take to the stage at different woodland locations across the UK in June as part of the Forestry Commission's Forest Live concert programme.

The first show will kick off at Sherwood Pine Forest in Nottinghamshire on June 14 and will come to an end at Delamere Forest in Cheshire on July 4.

He said previously: "It's a favourite summer jaunt for me so I look forward to performing in a few of the forests that I haven't played in a good while."

Money raised during the concerts will be spent on improving the woodland for people and wildlife.

Meanwhile, the former Jam frontman previously said he finds ripping up or burning his lyric books very inspirational because he likes to create a "fresh canvas" every time he finishes recording a new album.

He said last year: "I would rip up or burn my books. I'd always have a book of lyrics and once I finished the record, I'd destroy them so they were kind of, that's it, gone, it's kind of like the next step, let's all start again, a fresh canvas."
