One Direction made their new album as if it could be their final release.
The band - featuring Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - recently announced they will take a hiatus next year and their producer Julian Bunetta has revealed their fifth studio album, due later this year, was made with their uncertain future in mind.
He explained: "There was a feeling of, 'Well, we're going to take a break, and anything in the world can happen during that time off'.
"It's the first time of there being some uncertainty, of not having things planned out beforehand, since they were 16 years old.
"There was definitely a vibe of making [the album] the best it can possibly be, and knowing it has to last as long as it needs to until we make another record - if we make another record."
Since the news of their disbandment was announced on Sunday (23.08.15), concert ticket retailer StubHub.co.uk has been met with a three-fold increase in demand for tickets ahead of their UK tour in September and October.
And 32-year-old producer Julian teased fans can expect some adult themes on the LP, with one particularly "sexually charged" track set to be included.
He told Billboard.com: "There's a song about losing someone that isn't Zayn [Malik]. There's also a song about the band being on shaky ground and not knowing what the future is.
"There are songs about love, there's a song that is a little more sexually charged. It's all over the map.
"We were having so much fun when we were making this record - going out, having parties, really enjoying ourselves and not taking any day for granted that we got to spend with each other."
Meanwhile it's been revealed by eBay UK that the group could be better off continuing on together rather than parting, with 44,613 One Direction related items and merchandise selling in a 90 day period, selling out all of the members of the group on a solo level combined in the same time period.
In those 90 days, Harry was the most popular selling 2,990 related items, with Niall second with 1,832, Louis third with 1,235 and Liam fourth with 1,117.
eBay spokesperson Laura Wilkinson-Rea said: "Though Zayn quit the band earlier this year and outsells Louis and Liam with 1,294 items sold in recent days, he still isn't matching up to his former band in terms of selling power. We don't want to drag the boys down, but if our sales figures are to be believed, the One Direction phenomenon is still bigger than the sum of its parts."
