One Direction are the first act to be confirmed for Band Aid 30.
The singers will be re-recording the famous charity single, organised by Sir Bob Geldof in a bid to raise money for the Ebola crisis.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Sir Bob has gone all out to get the biggest names in pop for the fourth release of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'"
Thought to have been the top choice of acts to appear in the song, organisers are reported to have also contacted Adele, Alt-J, Ben Howard and Florence Welch.
"Harry, Louis, Zayn, Liam and Niall were among the first stars on the organisers' list and they jumped at the chance to get involved.
"As with previous Band Aid releases, there's likely to be a mix of credible and pop acts featuring on the recording."
The new version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas' is to be recorded later this month, with hopes it can reach the number one spot on the Christmas singles chart, going up against Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Odell and this year's X Factor winner.
The original recorded track featured Bono, Sir Paul McCartney, Boy George, Paul Weller and more big names, and went on to become the biggest selling single of all time in the UK.
Other releases came in 1989 and 2004 meaning this time round will mark the fourth incarnation of the tune.
