ODB made a comeback as hologram to perform at Rock The Belles festival last night (08.09.13).

Over 2,000 fans were surprised when the deceased rapper - also known as Ol' Dirty B*****d - appeared to come alive on stage with his group Wu Tang Clan through the use of clever projections onto a well-hidden screen sat on an elevated platform in the middle of the stage.

Concert-goers gathered at the two-day festival in San Bernardino, California to see a host of modern rap icons such as J.Cole and 'Peso' hit-maker ASAP Rocky, but Wu Tang's U-God claims the rap industry has become "boring" since ODB passed away in 2004.

He told Noisey.com: "ODB was ODB - that's that fly s**t! There's no more of that sh**t going on. It's boring now; the game is boring. It's just beef, it's corny - there's no antics. There's no great s**t anywhere.

"Everybody's just driving cars and eating Grey Poupon [a brand of Dijon mustard]. It's just snobby now - everybody's all uppity and puppety. There's no grimy, gritty s**t goin' on. Everything's just got so Disney World."

ODB's performance came a day after late gangster rapper Eazy E - part of west coast rap group N.W.A - took to the stage in hologram form to perform hits such as 'Straight Outta Compton'.

The rapper asked fans "What's up, my thug?" before engaging with the crowd using pre-recorded audio.

Both rappers were made by technology firm, AV Concepts, who masterminded Tupac Shackur's virtual performance at Coachella festival in Los Angeles last year.
