Niall Horan has paid tribute to Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey, following his death on Monday (18.01.16).
The musician had been suffering from illnesses including acute ulcerative colitis, pneumonia and rheumatoid arthritis when he died and One Direction singer Niall - who is a huge Eagles fan - took to social media to remember the late star.
He wrote on Instagram: "Very sad to hear of the passing of one of my favourites of all time. A man I had the pleasure of meeting and a man I had the honour of listening to all my life."
Niall also took to Twitter to post some lyrics from 'No More Cloudy Days', from the Eagles' latest record, 'Long Road Out of '.
He wrote: "These cloudy days, make you wanna cry. It breaks your heart when someone leaves and you don't know why."
Niall previously revealed that the Eagles have influenced his own songwriting, saying: "My favourite band of all time is The Eagles. They've influenced me in the stuff I listen to now and the way I write."
And he admitted that 'Desperado' and 'Hotel California' are two songs he wishes he had written himself.
