The 'Supermassive Black Hole' rockers are to headline the world famous music festival on Friday June 24, the night before Adele tops the bill on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday June 25.

Frontman Matt Bellamy has heard that the 'Hello' singer is nervous about making her debut at the world famous event held on Somerset's Worthy Farm in South West England and so has offered her the chance to perform with his band to get rid of any butterflies she may have.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on UK station BBC Radio 1, he said: "The best thing for her to do would be to come the night before, watch us and come on and sing a song with us. That will take the pressure off, that will be a no pressure moment. A lot of people, if they are nervous, they will just lock themselves away and then the first time they see it (the stage) is when they go on and you can really brick it."

Speaking about potentially singing at Michael and Emily Eavis festival before, Adele, 27, said: "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. The crowds are too big - I don't know if I could do it."

Muse and Adele are joined as headliners by Coldplay and Matt, 37, was delighted when the official Glastonbury line-up poster was released and had his band taking top billing over Chris Martin's quartet.

He laughed: "I was particularly happy to see the poster, our name was at the top. I sent a picture of the poster to Chris Martin as a joke saying, 'Keep writing the hits mate, you might get a headline billing one day.' "

The trio of headliners are also joined on the impressive bill by ZZ Top, Art Garfunkel, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne, Cyndi Lauper, Foals, Disclosure, Last Shadow Puppets, Years & Years, Earth, Wind and Fire, Beck, Grimes and The 1975 among many more acts.

Glastonbury 2016 runs from June 22 to June 26.
