Muse have officially announced their new album 'Drone', to be released in the UK on June 8 with frontman Matt Bellamy suggesting that the LP is to follow the idea of human indoctrination.
In a new statement posted to the band's official website, he writes: "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."
The first track from the album is to be released later today - named 'Psycho - with the official single 'Dead Inside' coming out on the week beginning March 23.
As well as the album, the group announced a last minute tour kicking off in three days in Belfast on March 15, and ending in Brighton on March 23.
