Morrissey was forced to pull out of an exclusive interview just hours before it was set to take place. Scheduled to sit down with Alan Carr for an episode of his Channel 4 talk show Chatty Man, he was unable to attend due to "transport issues", after he reportedly refused to fly from Northern Ireland into London.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Morrissey was due to record the show but suddenly cancelled due to transport issues. Everyone was disappointed.
"His appearance was to be a TV exclusive."
The 55-year-old singer performed a concert in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Tuesday (24.03.15), after which his tour bus suffered from a flat tyre delaying his travels to England.
However, 38-year-old comedian Alan was disappointed their interview was pulled at the last minute, especially as he had been able to make it back to London in time after attending the star's show.
Speaking at the beginning of the programme's recording, he apologised, saying: "Can I just say I am sorry. I went to see him in Belfast last night. He was going to come over but his tour bus got a flat tyre and you know he don't fly. So we could not get him over in time."
