Metallica are to release a total of 27 live albums before the end of 2014.
The group are marking their websites 10th anniversary by offering LPs and CDs of each of their gigs this year, made up mostly of their fan-voted 'Metallica By Request' shows from Europe and South America.
Until the end of the year, three albums are to be released every Monday in the order they played the shows, beginning with Bogotá, Colombia.
Fans can also purchase a special box set of all 27 shows, sold on the website but not dispatched until December.
The four most popular shows - as decided by a fan poll - will be made available on limited edition 180-gram vinyl discs early in 2015.
Metallica this year set a Guinness World Record for being the first band to play all seven continents in 12 months.
James Hetfield, frontman said: "Seven continents in one year with Antarctica being the gig of a lifetime....
"Yes, 120 scientists and competition winners. Not to mention the 300 very curious penguins!"
