Expecting father Macklemore has promised fans that he's going to release his new album later in the year.

The American rapper spent last year working on the follow-up to his breakthrough record The Heist, which took the Grammy for Best Rap Album last February.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who asked about when we'll be hearing his new music, he said: "You will this year. Believe that."
This comes days after he gave a lengthy interview on US radio station Hot 97, speaking about the ongoing racial injustices that continue to plague the US society.
"If we're truly going to progress, we have to get past that 'awkward stage' of the race conversation, step up, and just have it," he said.
"And as a white person, we have to listen. We have to direct the attention to the people of colour mobilising, and listen to those people, and take some direction."
