Lulu is embarking on a new musical adventure on a path she's trodden before, after signing a new record deal with Decca - the company she first signed to at age 15.
Forthcoming album 'Making Life Rhythm' is the singer's first ever collection of self-written tracks and marks a departure for the business icon, capturing her life in a time of huge change.
Recorded in London, lyrics are featured that are all at once highly confessional, questioning and ultimately, redemptive, written by the lady herself who now recognises: "I need a little peace but I never seem to find the space - having trouble getting to sleep 'cos the party is always at my place."
Working with huge names in the past that include David Bowie, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Take That amongst many others, Lulu will embark on a huge UK tour later this year, opening on May 10.
Speaking today, Lulu said: "I'm really proud of this record. I've made a lot of records over the years but this one comes at a time in my life when I'm re-evaluating everything. Life changes, people change, and this album sums up what I see as my place in the world at this time. For that reason it's especially gratifying to me that the album will appear on Decca, my first ever label."
Dickon Stainer, President of Decca Records Group added: "We are delighted to welcome such an iconic singer back to Decca, where she started her career."
