Little Mix have spoken about how their new music is inspired by the 1980s.
The four-piece girl group made up of Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards revealed that their new material is to be a throwback to the decade, counting Cyndi Lauper as their biggest influence.
Speaking at The Sun newspaper's exclusive Bizarre Annual party at Steam & Rye bar in London, Jesy said: "Our biggest inspiration is Cyndi Lauper. We want it to be music for everyone - but especially for girls."
However, she's not the only musician to have had an impact on the third studio album, as the girls are also big fans of Prince.
Jesy added: "We love Prince too, he's an icon and definitely inspired the sound."
Whilst they've never come into contact with the 'Purple Rain' singer, they do have their foot in one particular door which could see them come face-to-face.
Leigh-Anne explained: "He's just so cool. How can we meet him?
"The closest we've got is our eyebrow lady does Prince too. She was like, 'Right, I'm done with you, I'm off to Prince now.'"
