Sam Smith has now officially revealed the brand new James Bond theme for upcoming movie Spectre, premiering the track 'Writing's On The Wall' earlier today (September 25) with streaming available ahead on the day of its official release.
Chatting about the song, Sam says: "This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."
Spectre producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli add: "Sam and Jimmy have written the most inspirational song for Spectre and with Sam's extraordinary vocal performance, 'Writing's On The Wall' will surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time."
Meanwhile, William Hill are currently offering odds of 4/6 for Smith to hit number 1 with the track, which would make it the first James Bond theme to reach the spot in 53 years.
Spectre, the 24th James Bond movie adventure will be released in the UK on October 26, coming to the US on November 6.
