After a huge 12 months, Jake Quickenden has found his way into the hearts of the British public, and he's now returning to his first passion - music - releasing his brand new debut track 'I Want You' ahead of his Laid Bare UK tour, kicking off at the end of July.
Hoping to showcase the new musical direction that the now independent artist is taking, he wants fans and new listeners alike to know that now the music will do the talking.
Inspired by the likes of Nile Rodgers and Bruno Mars, 'I Want You' is miles away from anything we're used to hearing from the emerging talent.
Speaking about his career so far, Jake says: "What I love the most is that throughout the last two years it has been the public who have fuelled a career for me. They voted on the X Factor and they voted for me on I'm A Celebrity. Now they are still in my corner.
"They've enabled me to live the dream, to make those promises I made to those important people in my life come true and I am so grateful. I've had near to one hundred jobs, sacked from most, but the love has always been music.
"From McDonalds to footballer and then lifeguard, I've never neglected my first love. This is my chance to show poeple the artist that I want to be, the music is on my terms."
'I Want You' is available now as a free download.
