Liam Gallagher has agreed to perform at a tribute concert for The Charlatans drummer Jon Brookes on October 18.
Beady Eye frontman Liam will be singing at London's Royal Albert Hall - the venue hosting the show for the late musician who passed away from brain cancer in August.
He tweeted: "Looking 4wd 2 singing 4 the 1 n only Jon Brookes 18th October RAH. Live Forever LGx (sic)"
The charity event is billed as The Charlatans and Friends, although aside from Liam, the rest of the performers are yet to be confirmed.
In a statement announcing the show, the band said: "The show will benefit The Brain Tumour Charity, which Jon was involved with during his illness.
The Charlatans"It's our way of raising money for research into and awareness of a cancer that will unfortunately affect many lives as it has ours. We look forward to seeing you at the Royal Albert Hall and making it a night to remember."
Jon was first diagnosed after suffering a seizure and collapsing on stage in Philadelphia while on tour with the band in 2010. He had undergone a number of operations, but was well enough to rejoin the group and work on new material over this summer.
Upon his passing The Charlatans singer Tim Burgess paid tribute, writing: "Jon Brookes, my friend, our drummer and inspiration to so many, passed away this morning. We are torn apart. Love & thoughts to Jon's family."
The band - which also includes Martin Blunt, Mark Collins and Tony Rogers - have previously suffered the tragedy of losing their original keyboard player, Rob Collins, who died in a car accident in 1996.
