Leona Lewis says her next album will be Motown-inspired.
Leona Lewis is gearing up to make a new record and she says she was heavily influenced by the Motown themes on her new Christmas album, 'Christmas, with Love'.
Recently Leona told femalefirst "This year, after the third record, I really wanted to get into a different headspace which is why I did the movie ['Holiday'] and went into '80s mode and then I went into Motown mode on the [Christmas] album. I've been so re-inspired. I'd love to try some more Motown, soul kind of sounds, something very authentic."
The 28-year-old star also revealed she is eager for a collaboration with 'When I Was Your Man' crooner Bruno Mars for the new album, as well as production trio The Smeezingtons - the group Bruno is part of with Ari Levine and Philip Lawrence.
She said: "I'd love to work with The Smeezingtons, I'd really love to work with Bruno Mars at some point. I want to see where I feel like I want to go next but that'll be in the New Year."
Leona's album 'Christmas, with Love' is out now.
