Kurt Cobain's daughter is to act as executive producer for a new documentary all about her rocker father.
The HBO film titled Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is the first to be authorised fully and made with the Nirvana frontman's family, including Frances Bean - his 22-year-old child with wife Courtney Love.
Brett Morgen directs and his team began working eight years ago on the project, given access to his entire personal and family archives.
This means the documentary is to boast performance footage along with home movies and unheard songs, recordings, journals, artwork, photography, demos and songbooks never before seen.
In a statement Brett said: "Once I stepped into Kurt's archive, I discovered over 200 hours of unreleased music and audio, a vast array of art projects (oil paintings, sculptures), countless hours of never-before-seen home movies, and over 4,000 pages of writings that together help paint an intimate portrait of an artist who rarely revealed himself to the media."
There's no release date set for the documentary but it is to come out some time next year through HBO Documentary Films and Universal Pictures.
