Kimberly Anne accidentally phoned Adele once.
The London-born singer - who has a new single out called 'Bury You There' - went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology at the same time as chart-topping stars Jessie J and Adele, whom she studied alongside in music classes.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Kimberly recalled: "I accidentally rang Adele a year before she got famous. I was like 'Oh sorry I've got the wrong person' - we weren't best friends or anything but she was a really lovely girl, who was down to earth and always scribbling something in her notebook ... I'm sure she's changed her number since then."
Kimberly says she isn't surprised by Adele's heightened fame, despite her self-imposed five-year break from the music industry.
She said, too, that the honesty and vulnerability of musicians like Adele is something the industry is missing at the moment.
She said: "Where things are at musically right now, when something genuine comes through it really resonates with people and there's lots of songs these days that are really paint by numbers and a formula. But Adele doesn't really do that, she talks quite openly and really vulnerably.
"I feel vulnerability and honesty is missing from music - (Adele) being so open means she should definitely be rewarded for that and hopefully she is helping other people at the same time."
The pair could actually cross paths once again this summer as Kimberly is due to perform at Glastonbury - the same festival where Adele is headlining.
Kimberly Anne will be performing at innocent unplugged, a weekend off the grid, which is on 28th - 30th May. For tickets, visit www.innocentunplugged.com
