Kiefer Sutherland has announced his debut album and tour.
The '24' actor is preparing for the release of the "folk-tinged" 'Down in the Hole' and will also embark on a 26-city tour in the US to support it.
Speaking about making the jump from acting to music, Kiefer revealed he has bared his soul on the 11-track record.
He said: "It's the closest thing I've ever had to a journal or diary. There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music."
And Kiefer can't wait to share the tracks with his fans.
He explained: "As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn't counted on."
In 2002, Kiefer founded the Ironworks record label with singer-songwriter Jude Cole, in order to help aspiring musicians to record and release their music.
